The men’s Varsity Blues volleyball team capped off their regular season this weekend, with a 3-1 win over visitor’s from Queen’s. Finishing with an impressive record of 14-4, the Blues move into post-season play at the top of the Ontario University Association (OUA)’s standings. Nipping at U of T’s heels is a stacked York team, who have also rounded out their season at 14-4, and a powerhouse squad from Windsor (13-5). The Blues edged York out of the number one spot based on the two teams’ previous match-ups. At their two regular season meetings, U of T has defeated York by a score of 3-2. More worrisome to the Blues will be the Windsor Lancers, a team that has blazed its way through the OUA this year, beating U of T 3-0 in both of their regulation matches. Quarterfinal action begins this Thursday, Feb. 12-be sure to stay tuned for more details.
