A male cyclist is in hospital after being struck by a vehicle just north of the St. George campus Sunday morning, said police.

Around 11:31 am, Toronto police received a call in the area of St. George Street and Prince Arthur Avenue. The incident took place a block north, at St. George and Lowther Avenue, where police found a cyclist with serious injuries and transported him to a local trauma centre.

No information about the cyclist’s age has been released.

The driver remained at the scene, Constable Allyson Douglas-Cook told The Varsity. Police are investigating the scene.
