U of T’s political science students were given the chance to see U.S. general and secretary of state Colin Powell speak at Roy Thompson Hall yesterday. Tickets for the event were between $270.00 and $220.00, but a Calgary-based communications firm putting on the event gave the “pile” of tickets at no cost to the department to give to students, according to a department rep.
McCreath Communications, the organizers of this event, had brought Bill Clinton to Saskatoon last March to speak on the same subject as Powell: Canadian-American relations.
