Witmer, Jewett medal at
Canadian Track and Field
Championships

Varsity Blues Tamara Jewett and
Alex Witmer both won silver medals
at the 2011 Canadian Track and
Field Championships, held in Calgary
in June.

Finishing the women’s 5000m just
four seconds behind winnner Leslie
Sexton, Jewett ran the race in

Like men’s high jump title-winner

overall, he was forced to settle for
second place.

Witmer is the current CIS champion.
He jumped 2.16m at the 2011
