My Immortal is a web series based on a Harry Potter fanfiction by the same name. The story was originally posted in 2006 on fanfiction.net by user Tara Gilespie, Over the years, it has undoubtedly become the most famous Harry Potter spinoff story, notorious for the “goffik” antics of its main character, Enoby Dark’ness Dementia Raven Way.
On October 3, the cast of the hit web series gathered at The Central on Markham Street to screen the series for the first time ever. Produced by Brian McLellan, the web series is a successful adaptation of the original story. The first episode of My Immortal has over 80,000 views (and counting) on YouTube, despite only having been uploaded two months ago. The series features great performances by the cast — most notably, Justine Cargo as Enoby Dark’ness, and Joseph Bradley as Harry Potter. The screening earned lots of laughs and celebrated both the success of the My Immortal series and the culture that continues to surround the Harry Potter series, even today.
