That Awkward Moment centers around three friends living in New York City trying to maintain their single lifestyles. Issues arise when the trio encounter love and must deal with the repercussions.

The film had an interesting and modern spin on dating, contrasting monogamy with open relationships. This movie adds humour to the somewhat tense and “awkward” romantic situations many of us might have experienced. This movie did an excellent job casting characters that are real and relatable. Viewers will be able to understand the emotions the characters try to convey.

As opposed to many movies of the same genre — 21 and Over and The Hangover, for example — That Awkward Moment developed a cohesive plotline with both romantic yet dramatic elements. I would recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys college humour, but prefers less crudity.
