The university has denied reports that it hired Navigator PR, a high-profile public relations firm that was once hired by ex-CBC host Jian Ghomeshi.
Reports began circulating on social media earlier today that the university hired the firm as the CUPE 3902 Unit 1 strike continues to affect university operations.
“We have no relationship with Navigator. This seems to be a rumour that started on Twitter. It has no foundation,” said Michael Kurts, U of T assistant vice-president, strategic communications & marketing.
