Singh is a third-year Political Science and Philosophy student at University College (UC). He previously served as the 2015-2016 UC director for the UTSU board of directors, and is currently the Vice President of the UC Literary and Athletic Society.
He calls for structural change and cutting spending on staff by reducing staff positions from eight to five. Removing positions depends on “how agreements go,” and Singh would allocate the rest of the budget would go to student jobs.
He called the Student Commons project a “dumpster fire” — a phrase previously used by presidential candidate Mathias Memmel to describe the project — but hopes to salvage it through renting the space out to groups working with the UTSU.
