Jackie Zhao is a fourth-year Commerce student. Currently the Vice-President Internal and Services for the UTMSU, Zhao advocates for affordability and accessibility of education for students.
He outlines his slate’s main focuses as “affordability, community and equity.” Zhao has been focused on introducing an international student bursary at the UTMSU and hopes to bring more bursaries to students through the UTSU.
He also plans to integrate greater “consultation with… minority and racialized members so that [UTSU’s] money is dispersed more efficiently.” This includes increasing club funding and the “access students have to events.”
