A notice sent by Executive Director, Personal Safety, High Risk, Sexual Violence Prevention and Support Terry McQuaid warns that a man with a history of violence who is “known to frequent the North West Campus” has escaped police custody at Mount Sinai Hospital.
The man, Andrew Smith, is described by Toronto Police Service as 36 years old, 5’11”, 130 pounds, with “brown receding hair” and glasses.
McQuaid’s notice advises students to travel around campus in groups of people, and to avoid “isolated areas.”
