University College students in the UC Junior Common Room last Tuesday during a Thanksgiving marathon of sandwich-making for the Scott Mission. Elsewhere, Terri Nikolaevsky, who runs the U of T Food and Clothing Bank, said the service is “important all year long, because students can live on a very restrictive budget and we want to help them out.” The U of T Food and Clothing Bank distributes 160 to 180 crates of food each week. The food bank is closed when the university is closed, which includes holidays. The service operates from 12 to 3 pm every Friday, at New College (Wetmore Hall, Basement room 50).
