Micaël Thompson is a fourth-year student from Woodsworth College studying Political Science. Alongside decentralizing the union, Thompson wants to focus on greater UTSU transparency and making advocacy initiatives more concrete.
He started the House Jam Collective and has been involved with the Hart House Debating Club and the Black Students’ Association. Thompson maintains that he will lobby for greater administrative supports for mental health services, though does not detail any specific policy changes.
“There’s a lot I understand I don’t know about the way that the current system is set up from the administrative standpoint,” he explained,“I’m really excited that we’re having a third party on campus and a slate that is committed to such really important systemic change [sic].”
