UPDATE, 6:25pm: Emergency vehicles have left the area and U of T has issued an all clear. Wilson Hall and Wetmore Hall are safe for re-entry.
Toronto Police and Fire are investigating a suspicious object in a New College residence. There is no further information about the object.
This incident, in the afternoon of November 14, has led to the evacuation of Wilson Hall and Wetmore Hall, as well as the closing off of a three block area between Harbord St. and Russel St., west of Huron St. and east of Spadina Ave.
Three police cruisers, one fire truck, one fire squad vehicle, one fire hazardous materials truck, and one police public support truck are on scene.
The university alerted students of the incident and are currently asking students to stay clear of the area.
