It has been a studious two weeks on campus, and it seems even the prowlers have hit the books, explaining the rather dull state of affairs on police reports between March 15th and 27th. As usual, thefts have dominated police reports, there being with fifteen 15 complaints filed in the last two weeks. Hart House and Robarts Library seem to be the more common were hot spots for disappearing property. However, most of these incidents involved personal items left unattended.
At least a third of the cases of thefts have been of were stolen of bicycles, all of them having been which had reportedly been secured. In one case, the bandits only made off there was a case of a stolen with a bicycle seat.
The 89 Chestnut St. residence had a perfect total monopoly on medical calls. Three of the four calls occurred on the same day. The patients were rushed to emergency medical service.
While this reporting period it wasn’t been a very busy for time, crime-wise, the police were called in to action when the brand new Leslie Dan Pharmacy Building sprung a leak across four floors from basement to third. The water caused a total damage worth $1,000 dollars.
There seemed to be a lot of incidents of of trouble from unwanted persons, trespassing and mischief dotted all over campus. There were 12 cases of involving these such suspicious characters were reported.
Also, a student was evicted from Rowel Jackman Hall and prohibited from entering any Victoria University residences for an entire year. The reason for his eviction was not specified.
