CUPE Local 3902’s potential strike was averted — temporarily.
The union, which represents 4,000 members, reached a tentative agreement with U of T’s administration 2 am Friday at a downtown hotel.
CUPE 3902 members will be meeting at Hart House’s Great Hall on 5 pm Friday to ratify the agreement.
According to the union’s website, if members don’t approve the agreement, the union will go on strike Saturday midnight. In the event that the deal is sent for ratification, polls will be open in all three U of T campuses from Friday until next week for members to cast ballots.
Full details of the agreement will be released at the ratification meeting.
